If you don’t, the target Spirit card isn’t returned to the battlefield. Iname can target itself with the graveyard-triggered ability, but it will be exiled and the ability won’t be able to return Iname. Now, accounting for the fact that some things are in the deck to cater for my specific meta, is anyone able to see anything that I am blatantly missing, such as an uh-ha! synergy that I missed?ĮDIT: I am mainly asking because it is one of the most rarely built commanders and data about card synergies are not all that available.Effects that put Iname onto the battlefield don’t cause its enters-the-battlefield ability to trigger. Sometimes it plays toolboxy, other times it plays as a fast combo, others as just good synergies turn after turn for advantage, other times it is just a good beats deck. Quite a bit of sorceries search for any land card which is good to get those important lands, land cloners, etc. This being the case, I had to invest quite a bit in the mana base, so 6 basics is all there is. He does nothing when cast from the command zone, he has to die to do something, and then you have to do that all over again, only now it costs a gazillion +2. And given the general one will immediately see how much of a handicap that is: ] try to stay on theme without making the deck a nightmare to pilot. Now I don’t like to intentionally sabotage my decks by excluding good cards in place of worse ones that play well in the deck. And after all the competitive-ish decks I’ve been building I wanted to have something I could just Dursley’s around with and have a few laughs and genuinely omg-how-did-I-just-pull-that-one-off moments. So I decided to build a deck which takes me back to when I began playing MTG: Kamigawa block.
